How it works
Every game is a fresh mystery. You get 20 questions, and fewer questions means a higher score.
A famous person is chosen
Deduktive picks someone from science, music, film, sport, politics, art and more, from household names to deep cuts. It never repeats someone you've already played.
Ask yes-or-no questions
Type any question: "Born in Europe?" "An athlete?" The AI stays in character and answers yes, no, or "sort of" when something's only partly true.
Name them to win
Guess the name before your 20 questions are up. Your score is the questions you had left. Then see their photo, a short bio and some surprising trivia.

Hints that make you think
The first 10 answers are strictly yes or no. After that, replies start slipping in wordplay and puns about who you're hunting.
Challenge your friends
Finished a game? Send a friend the same mystery person and see who cracks it in fewer questions on a shared leaderboard.
Track your streaks
Your stats and full game history, including every question you asked, are kept so you can see how your detective skills improve.
Learn something every round
Win or lose, each game ends with a quick intro to the person and three fun facts you probably didn't know.
